New Location
Lisa Ardito, President of Environmental Rail Solutions, Inc. (“ERS”), is pleased to announce that ERS is celebrating its 5 year anniversary in its office in Shrewsbury, NJ. ERS moved to its new location in September 2006. The relocation to the new larger complex was necessitated by ERS’ continued growth and future expansion plans.

Project Update
ERS was recently awarded contracts for two major FUSRAP Projects. In each case, ERS is performing as a sub contractor to the new Prime Contractors. This speaks volumes about ERS' performance as well as its ability to work with organizations to facilitate a smooth transition.
The first project is the St. Louis FUSRAP remediation. ERS began work as the rail transportation provider in January 2009. Upon expiration of the 2010 contract, the Army Corp of Engineers awarded the Prime Contract to a new vendor. ERS was the successful transportation bidder for the 2011 renewal. As part of the project ERS provides a fleet of retro-fitted gondola railcars. This includes state of the art one piece fiberglass lids. To facilitate the handling of the lids ERS also provides custom designed lifting devices.
The second project is the Linde FUSRAP site in Tonawanda NY. Similar to the situation in St. Louis, following the selection of a new Prime Contractor, ERS was awarded a transportation and disposal contract. Though ERS had been the previous sub contractor, the new scope required the transition to gondola equipment from the previously utilized intermodal means. ERS promptly supplied the required fleet, once again enabling a seamless transition to a new contractor.

Fleet Expansion
ERS expanded its overall rail transportation capacity by 200% over the past year. This was accomplished via the addition of 100 new 52’ low-sided mill gondolas, 120 IP-1 type intermodals and 20 6-position ABC flat cars. This represents a substantial financial commitment by ERS. The increased capacity will be utilized to provide the necessary capacity to meet your material transportation needs. Our goal at ERS is to ensure that your site is always “stocked” with the right type and amount of containers for loading to minimize on site labor downtime. In addition to its direct owned equipment, ERS has relationships with a number of providers to supply additional equipment on short notice to meet any “spikes” you may have during your project. ERS also maintains a rigorous repair and maintenance program on all equipment to enhance reliability and minimize lost time as a result of damage or breakdown.
